Members of the Writers’ Association of The Gambia (WAG) happily welcomes Professor Ndi, the President of PAWA to The Gambia as he sets to start his literary diplomacy and networking in the country.
The Pan-African Writers Association is the continental body of African writers and national writers’ associations, founded in 1989 by the African Union and headquartered in Accra, Ghana. It stands as one of Africa’s most important literary institutions, promoting African literature, cultural diplomacy, freedom of expression, education, and the preservation of the continent’s intellectual and creative heritage.
Professor Ndi’s visit represents an important opportunity for The Gambia to deepen its literary and
cultural engagement with the wider African intellectual community.
His presence will further
encourage Gambian writers, strengthen links between WAG and PAWA, and contribute to the
national conversation on literature, education, youth creativity, and cultural diplomacy.
He is expected to spend a week in The Gambia and will engage in Literary dialogues, lectures, media engagements, and diplomatic outreaches.
