PAWA SIGNS CONDOLENCE REGISTER FOR LATE PRESIDENT SEKOU TOURE’S WIDOW

To commemorate the passing of H.E. Madam Andree Toure, very First Lady of the Republic of Guinea and wife of the late President Ahmed Sekou Toure, the country’s first President, the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea in Accra, Ghana has opened a Condolence Book at its Chancery.
The 92- year old lady was said to have passed away on Wednesday, 8th July 2026, in the Kingdom of Morocco, following an illness.
As a mark of respect for the pivotal role played by President Toure in his struggles against colonial rule in Africa, the Pan African Writers Association ( PAWA) represented by the Secretary General, Dr Wale Okediran and the staff of the Headquarters in Accra, Ghana were today at the Chancery of Embassy of the Republic of Guinea to sign the Condolence Book for late Madam Toure.
May the souls of President and Madam Toure continue to rest in perfect peace.
