The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards ( HAPAwards) and the Pan African Writers Association ( PAWA) have announced a strategic partnership as part of activities marking the 10th Anniversary Celebrations of HAPAwards in Ghana.

The partnership brings together two organisations committed to advancing African creative expression, cultural heritage, and the global recognition of African talent.

Through this collaboration, HAPAwards and PAWA seek to create opportunities for dialogue, cultural exchange, and the celebration of the writers, artists, and creative professionals contributing to Africa’s cultural influence.

The partnership was announced during a recent visit by a HAPAwards delegation led by Mr Adeola Odunowo, the association’s Executive Producer & African Representative to PAWA House, Accra, Ghana.

According to Odunowo: “The 10th Anniversary of HAPAwards is more than a celebration of the past decade; it is a platform for building meaningful relationships and creating new opportunities for Africa’s creative community.

Our partnership with the Pan-African Writers Association reflects our belief in the power of storytelling, culture, and collaboration to connect people across borders.”

In his response during the meeting, Dr Wale Okediran, Secretary General of PAWA, noted that the partnership underscores the importance of storytelling as a vehicle for preserving African history, promoting cultural understanding, and showcasing the continent’s diverse creative achievements to international audiences.

As HAPAwards commemorates a decade of recognising excellence in entertainment, arts, and cultural leadership, the collaboration with PAWA adds a literary and intellectual dimension to the anniversary celebrations, highlighting the role of writers and storytellers in shaping Africa’s global narrative.

The 10th Anniversary Celebrations which will come up between October 7th to October 9th 2026 will take place at the historic Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The anniversary initiative is intended to bring together distinguished guests, creatives, cultural stakeholders, and international participants in a celebration of African excellence, heritage, and global connections.

The HAPAwards since 2017 has been striving to promote global creativity and continuously connect the richness of African cultures with unique business opportunities within the entertainment circle.

The platform celebrates outstanding achievements of African and international stars, actors, musicians, comedians, sport personalities, community leaders, entrepreneurs and Royal dignitaries.
