The PAWA Governing Council:
Pioneers of a Continental Vision
The strategic direction and enduring strength of the Pan-African Writers Association are guided by its esteemed Governing Council. Comprising eminent writers, scholars, and literary leaders elected from across Africa and its Diaspora, this body represents the diverse tapestry of our literary heritage and ambition.
The Council serves as the vital link between the Secretariat's daily operations and the collective will of PAWA’s General Assembly. As custodians of the Association's constitution and vision, these distinguished members provide governance, shape critical policy, and steer the advocacy that amplifies the African writer’s voice on the world stage. They are the deliberative mind and moral compass of our continental fellowship.
Here, we honor the individuals who lend their wisdom, credibility, and unwavering commitment to steering the ship of African literature into its boundless future.
