PAWA TO COLLABORATE WITH SOPHIA BOADI FOUNDATION TO PROMOTE READING CULTURE

The Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) will in May 2026 be collaborating with the Sophia Boadi Readathon International Foundation to organize the 2026 Ghana Literacy Fair for the promotion of Reading Culture in Ghana.

The decision was taken during the recent courtesy visit of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sophia Boadi Foundation, Ms Sophia Boadi to the PAWA’s office in Accra, Ghana.

According to Ms Boadi, the forthcoming Book Fair which will be organized under the theme: UNLEASHING THE POWER OF READING will involve participations from students, youths, professionals, artisans, celebrities, traditional leaders, ambassadors and parliamentarians.

Activities lined up for the 6- day event will include Drama and Poetry performances, Reading Sessions, Choreography as well as Essay and Writing competitions.

The highlight of the Book Fair will be the Reading Session by special guests such as Parliamentarians, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Artistes among others.

The Sophia Boadi Foundation is a leading educational foundation in Ghana devoted to the uplifting of the educational standard in the country.
